Well my dad and i went out shopping for some africa stuff today...i have to bring such a a weird and random assortment of things, including but not limited to:
- Mosquito netting
- water purification system
- LOTS od skirts
- a fleece, even though the average temp while i will be there will be a straight 80 degrees (thank god..). When i am up in the mountains it will be cooler so yea
- as many pairs of capris as i can pack
- a single pair of jeans...which for a jeans and t-shirt girl is ROUGH
- bug spray with almost 100% deet
What's funny about looking at the stuff i am going to pack is that i have to combine my typical packing supplies, ALONG WITH stuff for a typical day in an african city (i.e. heels).
Here are some things i want to do while in Uganda:
- White water raft the nile
- see some Nile crocs
- see some silverbacks
- hang out with some Sudanese folks
- brush up on my Arabic (see how closely my standard (ie Egyptian) Arabic holds up to Sudanese and ugandan Arabic...should be unique to say the least
- Go to a Genocide memorial in Rwanda
- try some crazy new foods!
Like i have told everyone else...i really have absolutely NO idea what to expect, so i figure my expectations can't be broken too horribly...
